The calming voice of well-known Ghanaian TV and radio personality Jessica Opare Saforo has completely won over dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah, nicknamed Shatta Wale. Jessica is the voice ambassador for MTN and the person who provides the automated voices on Ghana’s leading telecommunications network. She is a voice-over artist.
Shatta Wale joked in a post on Twitter that whenever he hears Jessica’s computerized voice on her phone, he is mesmerized by it and wants to marry her. “The woman who has been speaking on my #MTN phone while I’m on the phone, how old is she, I want to marry her,” he said. She admitted publicly, much to the shock of mobile consumers, that she is the one responsible for the “You have one minute remaining” notice callers hear when their airtime runs out mid-call.
