Bello Matawalle, Zamfara Governor has disclosed why he defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressive Congress (APC) , and he says he wanted to strengthen the political unity in his state.
According to the governor’s media aide, Yusif Idris who made this disclosure, there is no truth in rumours that the governor was forced to defect to All Progressive Congress (APC).
Idris noted that the governor who is well known as one of the leaders that speak wisdom on all matters in the country defected to strengthen political unity and to aid development.
He stressed that the governor also defected because of the upper hand, governor Matawalle has been enjoying from President Buhari and the high command of the APC on all matters regarding the state.
Idris added that President Buhari and the APC have been sympathetic to the people of the state in trying times and this motivated the governor to reciprocate the kindness and respect.
