Shun Personal Attacks, Campaigns Must Be Issue-Based – Buhari To Presidential Candidates

1

President Muhammadu Buhari has requested that official up-and-comers disregard instigations and resolve to issue-based crusades.

The president expressed this on Thursday at the 2023 races international agreement marking coordinated by the Public Harmony Board of trustees (NPC) in Abuja.

This was contained in an explanation delivered by Garba Shehu, official representative.

Buhari expressed that phony news and deception will generally fuel individual assaults, put-downs, and affectations.

”I appeal to the contestants, especially their publicity agents and media advisers to shun personal attacks, avoid insults and incitement, reject the spread of fake news, and commit to issue-based campaigns and political rallies,” he said.

The 2023 political race is in excess of a political decision, it is a chance to serve Nigeria, to guard Nigeria and to maintain her solidarity and progress.

”Therefore, I call on all Nigerians, political parties, politicians, security agencies, the Independent National Electoral Commission, and all stakeholders to ensure that Nigeria is placed first above regional and sectional claims.”
