Two Suspected Kidnappers Arrested At Lapaz

The police have arrested two suspected kidnappers Abdul Saeed and Kudjo AKorlor from a hideout at Abeka Lapaz in Accra after rescuing one of their kidnap victims (name withheld). Before their arrest, the suspected kidnappers asked that the victim's elder sister pays them a sum of one thousand Ghana cedis of which she did through mobile money transfer but they still demanded for more before releasing the victim. She called the police who managed to rescue the victim as well as arrest the kidnappers from a hideout.

Ho Court Grants Bail To 21 LGBTQ Suspects

A Ho Court 2 has granted bail to some 21 persons suspected to be members of LGBTQ who were arrested in Ho on Thursday May, 20 2021. The suspects which includes 16 females and 5 males were first put before the Ho Circuit Court on May 21, 2021 but were remanded into police custody. The 21 suspects were charged with unlawful assembly for appearing at a conference in the Ho Municipality. 3 Illegal Miners In Takoradi Jailed 45 Years, Fined GHS720,000

A Takoradi Circuit Court has jailed three illegal miners 15 years each and also fined them GH¢720,000 for undertaking small-scale mining operations without license.
