Minority Boycotts Adjei Mensah’s Vetting Over Techiman South Polls

The minority members on the Appointment Committee of Parliament have boycotted the vetting of Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, Techiman South MP.

The actions of the minority on the Appointment Committee is born out of their refusal to accept Mr. Martin Adjei as the elected member of Parliament as a result of the the drama associated with the collation of the 2020 polls in the constituency.

Mr. Adjei is being vetted for the deputy minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development.

The NDC party holds that it won the parliamentary seat in that constituency but got cheated during the collation of results characterized by violence.

The election results has been challenged in court by the NDC with claims that they were cheated during collation of results.
