Ghanaian Raggae artiste and media personality born Abubakar Ahmed well known in showbiz as Blakk Rasta has said that the newly introduced E-Levy is a cheap way of enslaving Ghanaians.
Blakk Rasta who was speaking on GTV Breakfast on 9th December he noted that the government of the day should come up with innovative and creative way of taxing Ghanaians rather that the E-Levy.
“It is a terrible act, E-Levy is a cheap way of enslaving Ghanaians. We already have taxes, and find other creative ways of taxing people”, he stated.
Lamenting on the E-Levy he bemoaned the road toll which has been scrapped off of which the E-Levy is to replace.
“All of a sudden road tolls are gone, because everyone uses mobile phones right now, you see the people providing us services are charging us, and you [government] come providing us with no service at all, you want to charge me on top”.
Blakk Rasta noted that E-Levy is not anything good.
He added that he doesn’t get tired criticizing politicians and if he doesn’t his son’s will not forgive him.
