There has been a debate as to whether it was indeed Yaw Tog who made Stormz popular in Ghana like he rightly said or not.
Yaw Tog appeared on the New Day show aired on TV3 and in an interview with MzGee he disclosed that he made Stormzy popular in Ghana because a lot of folks didn’t know about him.
This didn’t sit well with a couple of Ghanaians on social media and they descended on him.
Well legendary Highlife, Rex Omar has waded into the conversation stating that he got to know about Stormzy through Yaw Tog.
In a post on Facebook where he disclosed that he never knew Stormzy until Yaw Tog’s remix, the President of Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) said the young Kumerican rapper has the right to express himself.
He added that Ghanaians want Yaw Tog to remain timid so that they will say he is humble.
