Alan Doesn’t Need Government Money For Campaign- Hopeson Adorye Speaks

The one time parliamentary aspirant for Kpone Katamanso has disclosed the rational behind the resignation of the former minister for trade and industry John Alan Kojo Kyeremanten. He indicated that the Ghanaian constitution does no permit for a minister of state to be in position and still contest for presidency.

In his speech he made known the necessity in the resignation of Hon Alan Kyeremanten and indicated that the decision has been taken at the very best point in time than any other. Hopeson Adorye further revealed how the constitution gives permission to the vice president of the republic to still hold position and lobby for the presidency position.

This statement has resulted in making some Ghanaians believe that vice president Bawumia is going to use taxpayers money to fund his political ambition of becoming a president come 2024 while Alan Kyeremanten on the other hand uses his own money and support from others.

Meanwhile on Thursday January 5, 2023 minister of trade and industry Alan Kojo Kyeremanten tendered his resignation to the president Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo. Later on the January 6, 2023 a statement was issued by the office of the presidency to inform the public of the president awareness to the resignation of the Honorable minister.

This follows with the directive from the president asking the Minister of finance Ken Ofori-Atta to take over as a caretaker of the ministry of trade and industry until the appointment of another minister. Watch video below!
