The legal and Constitutional Committee of Parliament will on Thursday 11th November commence public hearing on the Private Members Bill.
Recall that not long ago an 8-member group lead by the member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Sam George sponsored a Private Members bill which seeks to criminalized gay and lesbian activities in the country.
After the bill which is titled ”The Bill on the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights ad Ghanaian Family Values was presented in Parliament on 29th June 2021 it sparked mixed reactions on social media.
Many Human Rights advocates who feel the bill is too hash have sent their memos to the Constitution and Legal Committee of Parliament to do away with the bill.
Some of the Human Rights advocates want some portions taken out.
Although some Human Rights advocates are against the Bill most Religious bodies in the country have thrown their weight behind it.
