Suspended National Democratic Congress (NDC) member, Stephen Atubiga has said that the major opposition party in Ghana is gradually losing its ideology and rather breeding criminals.
He said the party has moved away from the social democratic party that it used to be by raising prices of filing fees which makes people steal when they are voted into office.
According to him the filing fee for presidential candidate is 400,000 cedis while filing fee for those aspiring as MPs is 25,000 cedis which indirectly tells the person to steal or take money from state coffers when given government appointment with the intent that the filing fee will be increased coming years.
Atubiga disclosed that even in America Joe Biden paid $5,000 dollars as filing fee and after which the money was used for social intervention programmes by his part.
He added that his newly formed party National Liberation Congress (NLC) party will make things flexible for everyone to afford.
He made this comment while speaking on Neat FM.
