Member of parliament for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong has expressed his disappointment in the government decision to go to the IMF for funds.
The outspoken member of Parliament who together with some NPP members described the national democratic government as incompetent and a failure 4 going to the IMF for a bailout, says government has indirectly handed power to the opposition party.
” it is just like handing over power to the NDC without a contest, straight away because of the noise we made, and I chew my own words back when I said the NDC went to IMF because of mismanagement of the economy. So if npp is going to IMF coma what am I going to say? So breaking the 8 is going to be tough”, he said.
Apparently the maverick lawmaker who was in the eastern regional capital koforidua on 1st July 2022 where he was undressed an ongoing Npp national constituency officers workshop noted that the decision of the current government to go to the IMF will prove detrimental in winning power for the Npp in 2024.
