Police Warn Persons Who Display Weapons on Social Media

The Ghana Police Service has warned residents in Ghana and Ghanaians who have developed the habit of brandishing weapons on social media to desist from it.

According to the Police persons found engaging in such acts will be dealt with according to the law of the land.

The law-enforcement agency issued this warning following the arrest one Nii Ponponsuo who was seen brandishing a gun on social media and threatening to eliminate an unknown individual.

He was arrested by personnel from the Police Intelligence Directorate on Monday and he will be arraigned before court on Wednesday, November 24th.

The Police has since warned the general public to desist from such act as they will not be spared if found.
