A Police officer who was spotted in a viral video harassing a female in a car in the Bono Region has been remanded into police custody and will appear before court again on 1st December 2021.
General Lance Corporal Victor Antwi Yeboah after police investigation was arrested few hours after the incident went viral on the web.
According to an earlier press statement released by the police, IGP Dampare had reached out to victim and assured her of thorough police investigations and any other necessary police support including psychological care and trauma therapy.
After the arrest of the Police officer he was arraigned before court on Monday, November 29, 2021.
General Lance Corporal Antwi was charged with assault contrary to section 84 of the criminal offences act 29 and indecent assault contrary to section 103 of the criminal offences act 29.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against him.
