The General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu as said that the party is against the activities of lesbians and gays because it believes in party system, chieftaincy, proper custom practices, protection of human rights and freedom.
Speaking to a crowd of NPP supporters he noted that the party is center-right and the believes of the party is against LGBTQ+ and anything that comes with it.
He mentioned that its rather the NDC that is center-left and should be questioned on their stands on the anti-gay bill because all over the world especially the US, whenever the center-left party comes into power it promotes activities of LGBTQ+.
Speaking at the party’s regional annual delegates conference in the Eastern region, he said that LGBTQ+ is something the NPP party will never entertain at all.
