Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has said that he is committed to see to it that the New Patriotic Party realises its dream of breaking the 8-year electoral cycle regardless who leads the party in 2024.
He believes that strengthening and resourcing the party will go a long way to push the party into victory in 2024 hence donating over GHS700,000 to support party organization at all levels.
Senior advisor to Dr. Bawumia who spoke on his behalf Fred Oware said; “I assure the party leadership right from the national to the polling station that he is very well pleased with the way and manner this party has been managed for the past four years.
“And that he(Vice President) will continue to do everything within his means to support the party structures and events being organised to ensure that this party is strengthened and made ready for the 2024 break the eight battle no matter who becomes the flagbearer of the party. For that reason, he has asked me to make a donation of ¢20,000 to the regions and ¢2,000 to constituencies,” he added.
He added that the Vice President believes that once the party is fed with good leadership, the party will continue to keep the peace they have within the party which will strengthen them for the next election.
