13 people have lost their lives and 11 people have also been injured in a gory accident that occurred on Sunday, 3rd October 2021, on the Kumasi-Accra highway.

The accident involved a Kumasi based bus from and a Cargo Truck at Konongo in the Ashanti region.
According to the Konongo MTTD Commander DSP Paa Yeboah narrated that the Cargo Truck was coming from Kumasi to Accra and the bus was coming from Accra moving towards Wa but the bus wasn’t full of passengers.
The passengers together with the driver and his mate summed up to 26.
“There was a truck ahead of the bus and in an attempt to overtake, it crashed into the other at the front part and both vehicles fell into a ditch. 13 people died on the spot and about 11 others injured,” he added.
