Liverpool Star ”Naby Keita” Flown Out Of Guinea After Military Coup d’état

Liverpool midfielder, Naby Keita has officially been flown out of Guinea and is set to get back to the UK in the midst of a tactical coup in his country (Guinea).

This report comes a day after Liverpool FC disclosed that they were in contact with specialists to guarantee Keita’s protected return to the club.

Guinea should have hosted Morocco in a World Cup qualifier on Monday September 6, 2021 where Keita was relied upon to be included, however a Coup d’Etat by Guinea’s military prompted the deferment of the game and a closure of the country’s boundaries.

Military Officers stormed the national TV station and declared that they had broken down the public authority and shut all land and air borders.

Keita’s club were consoled that the 26-year-old was protected and can now securely unwind as he is in transit out of Guinea, as indicated by columnist Carl Markham.

A statement from Liverpool reads;

”We are in constant contact contact with Naby Keita and have had a regular communication via his national team management. We are satisfied he is safe and well cared for. Obviously the situation is fluid and we will maintain regular dialogue with the relevant authorities as we work to get Naby back to Liverpool in a timely and secure manner.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea have been fined £25,000 by the FA for neglecting to control their players during their 1-1 Premier League draw at Liverpool.

Anthony Taylor who was the referee shipped off defender Reece James after a handball, with Mohamed Salah scoring from the penalty shoot. As per reports, the Chelsea players were frustrated by Anthony Taylor’s choice to excuse Reece James (Red Card), with the Blues feeling the ball had redirected off the England star’s thigh onto his arm.

Kai Havertz’s goal gave Chelsea the lead before Salah evened out from the penalty shoot. Chelsea’s 10 men held firm for a point nonetheless, leaving the two sides unbeaten three matches as they race for the title.

Reece James will be on the bench when Chelsea host Aston Villa as the Premier League resumes on Saturday after the international break due to the red card which he took.

A statement from the FA reads;

”Chelsea FC has been fined 25,000 for 2 breaches of FA Rule e20.1 which occured during their Premier League fixture against Liverpool FC on Saturday 28, August 2021.

The Club admitted failing to ensure that its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during both the 48th minute of the first half and following the half-time whistle.”
