Fix Your Character If You Want Ghana To Be Fixed-Osei Wusu Tells Ghanaians

The 1st Deputy speaker of Parliament, Mr. Joseph Osei Wusu has urged Ghanaians to fix their characters and only then the country can be fixed.

Speaking on ”Morning Starr” hosted by Francis Abban, he mentioned that ‘if we fix our character, we are fixing the country”.

He says the fixing of character isn’t one man’s job as it needs a collective effort to do so in order for the country to move forward.

”I’ll rather say we should fix our character. We cheat freely with the everyday thing that affects people. People take money freely for the work they’ve been employed to do. I think we should fix our character, all of us. If we fix our character, we’re fixing the country,” he told Francis Abban.

He added that if the country wants to move forward then it is time it start building on the character of indigenes as it is affecting the country’s development.

“In this country, we should focus on building characters if we want to move forward. The biggest challenge we have in this country is dishonesty. Look at the Auditor- General’s report, how many of the names mentioned are politicians? Yet we turn around and blame the politician. The difference between us the developed world is that as much as possible, people will lie but when you’re caught, you’re punished”.
