Manny Pacquiao Loses To Cuba’s Ugas In A Unanimous Decision On His Return To The Ring

Report gathered from the world of boxing indicates that Manny Pacquiao has been defeated on his return to the ring following a two-year absence from the sport after Cuba’s Yordenis Ugas made a surprise win by unanimous decision hold onto his WBA (super) welterweight title on Saturday night, August 21, 2021.

Cuba’s Ugas was just drafted in on 10 August for the Las Vegas bout to fill in for the injured Errol Spence Jr. It was Manny’s first fight after he was defeated by Keith Thurman for the WBA welterweight title somewhere in July 2019.

Ugas dominated the bout with his jab and smooth punching to win on each of the three cards – 115-113, 116-112, and 116-112 – at the T-Mobile Arena.

Manny Pacquiao, who doubles as a lawmaker in Philippines, was deprived of the WBA title in January as a result of dormancy.

Asked if this was Manny Pacquiao’s last fight and this is what he had to say;

”I don’t know, I need to relax and make a decision. I had hard time in the ring making adjustments. My leg were tight. I’m sorry I lost tonight but I did my best.”

Many currently holds a record of 62 wins, 2 defeat and 2 draws.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid play maker ”Karim Benzema” has signed a contract extension at Santiago Bernabeu and will keep on being the main striker for Los Blancos.

Karim Benzema has officially penned down another two-year deal at Real Madrid as the club’s No.9. The France international skipper was reported as having signed an extension to his present agreement, keeping him at Santiago Bernabeu until 2023.

It is perceived the 33-year-old striker will currently have a €1 billion release clause, apparently guaranteeing remaining years of his high level playing career will be spent with Real Madrid.
