The Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is optimistic that his party, New Patriotic Party (NPP) will break the 8-year election cycle in Ghana.

The Vice President says the goal to break the 8-year cycle is to sustain the social-economic development that the country has has under the Nana Addo administration.
He made this comment while addressing the Central Regional Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) conference at the University of Cape Coast.
Dr. Bawumia noted that Nana Addo is willing to hand over to another NPP regime that’s why the party is working hard to ensure that it succeeds at all times.
Meanwhile Nana Addo has also said the NPP will win the 2024 general election .
