Popular Nollywood Actor Jim Iyke has finally revealed why he ended his political career even tho he had people who were rooting to make him succeeded
According to him, he ended the career because he didnt want to sell his soul. He claim what was required of him during the start of his career was too much and since he didnt want to stress himself, he decided to quite.
In the year 2014, Nollywood Actor Jim Lyke joined the Young Democratic Party. He claim Politics is a dirty game,with corruption, violence, bribery and other dubious acts.
In an Interview on BBC IGBO, Jim Lyke in his words said: “I tried doing politics but what I was required to compromise was almost like selling my soul, I am a very principled person, The day my people summoned me to served then I came out, I realized if there is a jungle on earth then its Anambra politics, Its a different game. I know if I foray into politics, its either it consumes me or I get what i have always wanted. However I dont really want to be played around like puppet by a godfather or be too desperate for it. I dont want to stress my self”
