A former Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, Allotey Jacobs has hailed First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo for refunding her allowance paid her since 2017 following brouhaha surrounding it.

Although many Ghanaians wanted all the monies back into the state purse, after Rebecca announced her decision to refund the money, some weren’t happy about it.
The decision to refund the money by both the First and Second Lady has been greeted with mixed reactions from the public as some say they deserve to be paid others to say they do not.
Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo’ show, Mr. Allotey said the Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo has dignified herself by refunding the funds and for that reason people will respect her.
