Former IGP ‘David Asante Apeatu’ Boldly Sues Justice Kwaku Annan For Gross Defamation

Latest information picked up by Pinaxnews.com indicates that the previous Inspector General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu has documented a claim against Justice Kwaku Annan of Net 2 Television for defaming him.

The suit which was filed by his attorney Nkum Asmah states that, Mr. Annan who has a mainstream show; ‘The Seat’ on the Net2 TV, through his medium, made some charges against the IGP which have, in addition to other things, brought his name and reputation into disrepute.

Segments of the suit express that the respondent (Justice Annan), had asserted the IGP was and is a fence for infamous lawbreakers both in Ghana and Nigeria, that he harbors crooks, and that he (the IGP) is a criminal who has been working with hardened global hoodlums to release fear on Ghanaians.

It likewise expressed that a few proclamations made on his show in June this year proposed that the offended party (Mr. Apeatu) is or was on the payroll of top hoodlums in Ghana and declined to, in his ability as IGP, cause the arrest of these hardened criminals.

The offended party claims by this suit, that the words articulated by Mr. Annan during his show were distributed in spite of his insight that they were bogus and having considered the advantages of prevalence and expanded viewership it will actually bring to the station which is the Net 2 Television.

He depicted the words from Mr. Annan as malignant and is consequently asking that the court charges the respondent for;
