On Thursday afternoon some soldiers stormed the Wa Municipality in the Upper West Region of Ghana and allegedly assaulted some residents in the area over a stolen phone.

A video that was spotted has the soldiers randomly punishing residents in the area over the phone.
According to sources the soldiers subjected the residents to punishment after a phone their base got missing on Wednesday night.
In the video, some residents are seen picking the gutters in the area under the orders of the soldiers.
Meanwhile Nana Akufo-Addo has instructed the Minister of Interior, Ambrose Derry to conduct an Inquiry into the unfortunate occurrences that took place on 29th June 2021.
