Recall we reported that one 33-year-old Kwame Dankwa killed his friend over GHS5.00 debt at Apirede in the Okere Constituency in the Eastern Region, well he has been dragged before the Mampong Akuapem Magistrate Court for the murder and has been remanded into police custody.
According to report the decision to remand him was to help the police to further investigate the case.
He is set to reappear before the court on July 13, 2021.
Background
Kwame Dankwa and his friend who was a Spot operator were engaged in a misunderstanding after Kwame asked the spot operator for 5 cedis which he owed him.
In the course of the misunderstanding, Kwame rushed to his room and brought out a gun which he shot the victim twice in the chest and rib.
He rushed to the Adukrom police station where he reported himself of killing the victim. The mortal remains of the victim was deposited at the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial hospital morgue.
