Report reaching us indicates that a young man identified as Kwaku Boahen has been lynched by residents of Offinso Abofo) for allegedly kidnapping two kids.
According to reports the 27-year-old Kwaku Boahen kidnapped the kids between the ages of three and 4, placing them in a sack while leaving the town. Residents who were keeping an eye on him realized he had some good n sack.
After opening up the sack they saw two kids in it. The residents lynched him and he almost died had it not been the intervention of the police.
The Offinso police command says investigation is still ongoing while he is responding to treatment under police guard. The victims are safe and have been handed to their parents.
Kwaku Boahen is said to have sustained several degrees of injury and responding to treatment at the St. Patrick Hospital owing to the beatings he received from residents.
