Controversial E-Levy Passed Amidst Minority Walk Out

On Tuesday, 29th March 2022, the 8th Parliament of Ghana passed the E-Levy. According to reports the insistence of the Majority in Parliament to pass the Levy led to the minority walking out of Parliament even before the bill was passed. Reports indicates the E-Levy's percentage which stood at 1.75% wad reduced to 1.5% before it was eventually passed. Some Ghanaians as usual have began complaining about the passage of the levy just as they complained when it was proposed.

Some New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters are set to hit the street following the absence of their MP, Adwoa Safo from Parliament.
