Special Prosecutor Nominee Kissi Agyebeng To Be Vetted Today

Nominee for the position of Special Prosecutor , Kissi Agyebeng will appear before the Appointment Committee of Parliament on Thursday 22ndd July 2021. The vetting is schedule for 10:00am in the Committee Rooms, 12 and 3 of the New Administration Block of Ghana's Parliament House. COP Dampare Replaces James Oppong-Boanuh As Acting IGP

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed COP Dampare as the acting IG after he directed the current Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. James Oppong Boanuh, to go on leave starting from Sunday, August 1, 2021, which is also in wait of his retirement from the Police Service on Thursday, 7th October 2021. A 65-year-old man identified as Mark Koranteng has been arrested by Begoro police in the Eastern Region for allegedly defiling and impregnating a 15-year-old girl. He is the Dademantse of Mpanmu near Dedeso. Reports indicates that the parents of the defiled young girl stated that they noticed strange changes and symptoms of pregnancy on their daughter.
