President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed NPP’s National Organizer as the new Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA).
According to report. Mr. Awuku’s appointment has been approved by the Council of State which is the requirement of law.
He is expected to resign as National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party so he can take up his new role.
Prior to the appointment he was the Board Chairman of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
The National Lottery Authority is a public service institution designed to provide a corporate platform the inspires creativity, innovation and many others.
Before Mr. Awuku was appointed as the new NLA boss, Kofi Osei Ameyaw was the Director-General but was asked to hand over to the Finance Director, Ernest Mortey when his one year contract came to an end.
