The People’s Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has lost Abdullahi Nyako, his principal secretary, just a few days before the start of the election campaigns for 2023.
Nyako, also known as the Principal Personal Assistant to Atiku, was said to have died early on Thursday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Confirming his demise on his verified social media pages, the PDP flagbearer said, “Barrister Abdullahi Nyako was more than an aide; he was family to me in every sense of the word. He served me with loyalty and diligence. He will be sorely missed.
“On behalf of my family, I convey my deepest condolences to the Abdullahi family and pray that the Almighty Allah will comfort and strengthen them. May Allah forgive his sins and grant him Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen.”
