Four robbers who attacked and robbed passengers on board a bus and motorists on the Kpando Agbenoxoe high way have been arrested by the Kpando Divisional Police in an intelligence-led operation.
According to reports the robbery incident took place last weekend, 9th January 2022.
The suspects were arrested from their respective hideouts Gbefi Weme and they are; Zakari Amadu aged 24, Badu Seidu 26, Usmanu Mohammed 37 and Aljuma Jalo aged 36.
According to the Volta Regional Command items retrieved are; One shotgun, six live BB cartridges, 15 assorted mobiles phones, industrial cutter, screwdriver and truncheon were retrieved from the suspects.”
A statement by the Volta Regional Police Command indicated that some of the suspects were invited from another region to embark on the robbery.
The special anti-robbery team are still on the look out for four other suspects who are on the run.
While investigations still continue the four suspects who were arrested will be arraigned before court.
