Few days after getting wholly endorsed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the newly created Guan District, Marlon Anipa reportedly dies.
According to reports, on Monday 15th November he officially toured some ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BCE) centers in the district as he official began work.
Marlon Anipa was nominated as the Chief Executive after a successful inauguration of the Guan district on 8th October 2021 by the Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Decentralization, Daniel Botwe by powers invested in him by President Nana Addo.
Following the creation of the Oti Region in 2018, the Guan district was created for people of Santrokofi, Akpafu, Likpe and Lolobi because they were left without a district and a constituency.
He was on Friday, 5th November 2021 endorsed by assembly members as he pulled 18 votes out of 18 indicating 100 percent.
After the outcome of the votes were announced he thanked the President of Ghana for nominating him.
He reportedly died in the early hours of Tuesday, 16th November.
