Suspected armed robber and rapist Dordzi Dzidefo who has been on the run since July has been arrested by the Tema Regional Police Command.
According to the Police the suspect who is a motorbike operator was hired by his victim from Kakasunanka No. 1 to Golf City. They returned around 12:00 midnight but the suspect took a different route under the pretext of dodging a police checkpoint but rather robbed the victim and raped her.
A quick investigation pointed that the suspect cashed out an amount of Two Hundred and Forty-Seven Ghana cedis from his victim’s mobile wallet into his MTN wallet on 16th July, 2021.
Through a sustained intelligence-led operation the suspect was arrested on 1st November 2021 at Kakasunanka No. 1 where he was hiding.
Dordzi Dzidefo has been arraigned be at court and an investigation has already began to establish other crimes that he might have committed.
