Two traditional rulers in njaba local government area in Imo State of Nigeria have been shot dead by gunmen.

On Tuesday 19th October, 20 local kings from different communities were in a meeting when the gunmen invaded the meeting and started shooting sporadically.
Some of the rulers sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to hospital for medical attention.
The likes of governor Hope Uzodinma have condemned the act.
Speaking to the public he stated that the perpetrators will be brought to book as government is on top of it..
Meanwhile on Sunday gunmen attacked a police post in neighbouring Ebonyi state, burning two patrol cars and killing one police man.
