Abubakar Sani Bello, Governor of Niger State has asked all political appointees who have shown interest running as consensus candidates at all levels of the APC to resign.

This directive was announced in a statement issued on Monday by Ahmed Ibrahim Matane.
According to Ibrahim the directive was in compliance with the constitution of the APC.
He therefore asked those who have been affected to comply with the directive.
The APC has scheduled 16th October for its nationwide State Congress for its election.
