The member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, KT Hammond has said that there is no way no member of Parliament will support the advancement of the LGBTQ+ right in the country.
According to him the advancement of the LGBTQ+ right in Ghana is something that will never happen under the watch of the 8th Parliament.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show, he assured Ghanaians that the nonsense of LGBTQ+ will never happen and so everyone should remain calm as there wouldn’t be any secret ballot in Parliament.
Nobody should fear. Everybody should calm down. There will not be any secret ballot in the house. We will do an open ballot. This nonsense will not happen. We just have to make sure the right thing is done and that and that isn’t to say that we support it. It will never happen here.”
”Look at my face, do I look like an NDC man?… Do you think we are all stupid in the Parliament House? It will never happen. No MP supports the advancement of the right of these people who do not even know their identity and how to call themselves”, he added.
