The MP for Adansi Asokwa constituency, KT Hammond has said that no member of Ghana’s 8th Parliament accept the ‘nonsense’ of gay and lesbian group talk less to advocate for a right to advance their practices.
Hon. Hammond speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show appealed to Ghanaians never to politicize the anti-gay bill as the advancement of the LGBTQ+ rights will never be considered under the watch of Parliament.
According to him no MP supports the advancement of the right of a group who do not even know thair identity and how to call themselves.
”Look at my face, do I look like an NDC man?… Do you think we are all stupid in the Parliament House? It will never happen. No MP supports the advancement of the right of these people who do not even know their identity and how to call themselves”.
”Nobody should fear. Everybody should calm down. There will not be any secret ballot in the house. We will do an open ballot. This nonsense will not happen. We just have to make sure the right thing is done and that and that isn’t to say that we support it. It will never happen here.”
We are all for the bill and we will make sure that it is passed. What nonsense,” he added.
