An accident which occurred at Ekumfi Akwakrom in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region has claimed the life of one person with ten others seriously injured.
The accident is said to have reportedly taken place on Thursday evening at around 4:00PM.
The accident involved a Metro Mass buss which was from Accra heading towards Sekondi Takoradi and a Toyota Corolla which was also from Mankesim.
According to EIB Network’s correspondent, Yaw Boagyan, the Toyota Corolla attempted to overtake another car in a sharp curve but ended up collided with the Metro Mass bus.
Some passengers on board the Metro mass speaking to the media said the driver of the bus saw the wrong move nby the Corolla but an attempt to swerve it rather made him to collide with the car and even died on the spot.
Some residents then called the police and Fire Service from Mankesim before they cut pen the car to remove the deceased driver.
The deceased has been deposited at the Saltpond Mortuary while the injured are receiving treatment at Mankesim Roman Catholic Hospital.
