Speaking Twi In Court Is A Disgrace To Police Service-CID Boss To Detectives

Director-General of the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department, CID Isaac Ken Yeboah has encouraged investigators to get interest in the official language of the country.

He opined that English language speaking should be a form of pride to any police detective just as critical interrogation of subjects and report writing.

Although in Ghana a lot of people speak, understand and can express themselves better with the twi, the CID boss strongly believes that English language should be used by the police whenever they appear in court, failure to do so brings disgrace upon the police service.

Meanwhile Asiedu Nketia has said that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia doesn’t know why he was voted as Vice President.

He is of the view that constitutionally, the Vice President’s role is to handle the internal security of the country yet Dr. Bawumia is watching on for it to degenerate.
