The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said that the Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia does not know why he was voted to become the Vice President of the country.
He stated that constitutionally, the principal function of the Vice President is to handle the internal security of the country. He bemoaned the fact that despite the Vice President being in charge of Ghana’s internal security it is still degenerating.
Speaking on Okay FM he stated that whenever the issue of the country’s internal security is raised, the current government keeps talking of buying cars for the police.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia opined that making the internal security of a country stand tall and strong is not about buying cars.
