A 20-year-old man identified as Yakubu Sherfiru has stabbed a 22-year-old man on 23rd August 2021, at about 6:00 pm Nkawkaw-Zongo in the Eastern Region of Ghana following a misunderstanding between the two.
The 22-year-old man who was stabbed is identified as Lawal Omar.
The incident occurred after a misunderstanding which erupted between them over a Bluetooth loudspeaker ended in a fight.
The suspect, Yakubu Sherfiru stabbed the deceased on the neck and belly. He was then rushed to the Family Hospital but died upon arrival.
Yakubu was then arrested by a neighbour and handed to the Nkawkaw Central Police.
The Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh has confirmed the incident while speaking on Starr FM.
