14 Suspects Allegedly Linked With Several Robberies Arrested

The police have arrested 14 suspects linked with a number of alleged robberies and criminal activies in the country.

One Ebenezer Ahuma Djietror has been arrested by the police in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana for allegedly robbing and attack two people at gunpoint in August 2021.

Two other suspects in the person of Ebenezer Sasu and Emmanuel Quist have also been arrested for alleged involvement in a robbery incident at Kasim Budumburam. The two have been suspected of attacking someone at knife-point and bolted with his money.

Police in the Central Region have noted that the arrested suspects are in police custody assisting the police in its investigation to arrest other two suspects.

One Samsendeen Nasil was arrested in the Upper West Region for allegedly rapping and robbing a young woman on August 8, 2021.

Upon arresting the victim some of the items he stole were found on him and he has been placed before court over alleged robbery and rape.

Again in the Upper West Region, two herds men have been arrested for allegedly robbing and shooting three people in their home close to a village near Wa on August 11, 2021.

In the Krachi West District of the Oti Region, two persons, Gariba Mbonge aged 20, and Sanda Abubakr aged 20 have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 12-year-old boy. Reports indicates that knives and mobile phones used for demanding the ransom were found on the suspects when they were arrested.

At Kintampon in the Bono East Region, two suspects, Yahaya Dramani and Prince Twumasi have been arrested for allegedly robbing a bank manager of GHS200 on August 11, 2021.

Three suspects Aremeyaw Mumuni, Philip Nana Aboagye, and Ali Baba Mumuni have been arrested in Yeji for allegedly robbing a resident and shop in the area.

On 13th August one Abudu Fataw was arrested and sent to the police station for allegedly stealing a motorbike at gunpoint from some eight persons who arrested him.

In addition three people have been arrested for allegedly robbing and rapping a woman in the North East Region in the Yigezi community. The suspects are being interrogated for the alleged crime.
