Report reaching us has it that at least 15 students of St. Peter’s Senior High School in Kwahu East Municipality in the Eastern Region of Ghana have been quarantined following a sick student who tested positive to the Covid-19 virus.
News gathered is that the school authorities reported to the Ghana Health Service that about 27 students of the school have been exhibiting signs of the virus but the Health Service were slow in responding to them.
It appears that a parent who has children in the school took one of them to the Hospital for testing after falling sick severally only for the report to come out positive.
Following the report, the Health Directorate of the Kwahu East Municipality then went to the school to take samples of 15 students and then quarantined them.
Speaking to Starr News, the Kwahu East Municipal Health Directorate urged parents to remain calm as the situation is under control.
He pointed that his outfit is waiting on the report of the samples to take the next action.
