As a result of the University Teacher’s Association of Ghana’s strike, the management of University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa have canceled the second semester examination of the school.

According to a statement signed by the registrar of UMaT, Mr. M.K Okrah, the second semester examination has been suspended indefinitely following the withdrawal of all teaching materials from campuses.
On August 2nd 2021, the University Teachers Association of Ghana embarked on a strike following representatives of government’s refusal to listen to the plight of the teacher’s on their worsening teaching condition.
