Two suspects have been arrested by the Northern Region police in connection with the murder of the driver of the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Karaga, Alhassan Yabdoo.
Speaking to journalists at the Regional Police Headquarters in Temale, the Northern regional police commander, COP Timothy Yoosa Bonga said the suspects were arrested by a police patrol team who were on duty on the Karaga stretch.
According to COP Bonga the suspects were riding a motorbike around the Yamo-Karaga area when they were arrested.
Items retrieved from them were locally manufactured pistol and ammunition.
They are currently on remand as investigation is still ongoing.
Meanwhile the DCE’s driver, Ziblim Issah was shot dead in May by some unknown gun men at Yamo-Karaga near Karaga.
