President Buhari has said in an interview with Arise TV on Thursday June 10, 2021 to ‘behave’ so they can attract jobs and investment in the country.
The President noted that security was essential in order for investment in the country, where unemployment rose to 33.3% in the fourth quarter.
“Nobody is going to invest in an insecure environment. So I told them, I said they should tell the youth that if they want jobs, they will behave themselves, “make sure that the area is secure. So that people can come in and invest,” the President stated emphatically.
Owing to the novel coronavirus pandemic that struck the country, the high unemployment and rapid population growth in Nigeria worsened because it hasn’t fully recovered from the pandemic.
Meanwhile Buhari has asked governors not to sit idle waiting on him to solve every problem in their states especially killer fulani herdsmen, urging them to stop herdsmen attacks by themselves.
