Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu has made his intentions to run the Presidential race in 2023 on Monday June 1 2021.
Speaking on why he made the announcement of his political ambition he noted that it is in times of crisis or when the horizon looks so dark that leadership emerges and this happens to be why he made his intent known.
He indicated that President Buhari’s led administration hasn’t performed at all but has rather divided Nigerians such that it has ever been. He stressed that the government left Nigerians more poorer and insecure than it has ever been.
He admitted while speaking on Arise News that Buhari’s administration have done well in terms of infrastructure in certain areas in Nigeria. However he believes what makes a country great or poor or miserable sometimes isn’t when rail ways are built but sometimes how citizens feel about their country.
Reacting to President Buhari’s comment of giving perpetrators plotting to destroy Nigeria the shock of their lives he was quick to say that falls short of a standard of leadership.
