A Convoy carrying an advanced security team for President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has been attacked by gunmen in Katsina. On Tuesday the Presidential spokesman Garba Shehu confirmed the attack noting that two people sustained minor injuries. According to Shehu the convoy was attacked while on it's way to Daura, Buhari's hometown to prepare to prepare for his visit. Two traditional rulers in njaba local government area in Imo State of Nigeria have been shot dead by gunmen. On Tuesday 19th October, 20 local kings from different communities were in a meeting when the gunmen invaded the meeting and started shooting sporadically. Some of the rulers sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to hospital for medical attention. The likes of governor Hope Uzodinma have condemned the act.
