Monday's heavy down pour in the Ashanti Region of Ghana have left six including children dead. According to reports the regional administrator for National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Nana Atakora confirmed the incident. Sokoban, Ahenema Kokoben, Daban and Kromaose were areas that were affected by the rains. A five-year-old girl has died in a building which was collapsed by heavy downpour at Kwasiho in Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The little girl identified as Sasu Marry died during Thursday's downpour in some parts of Ghana. Following the heavy downpour experienced in major places in Accra on Thursday, 2nd September 2021, some places including a part of the Achimota-Pokuase Highway. A video sighted by pinaxonline has the entire road covered with flood water as a result of the downpour. This made it difficult for pedestrians as well vehicles to ply the route. Its quiet surprising that this year the country has recorded more rains in August and September than it should in June and July which is noted for rains.

Following the Wednesday evening rains at Sawaba in Kumasi the Ashanti Regional capital, a baby has been reportedly washed away.
