Famous Ghanaian artiste, Terry Asare Boamah well known in showbiz as Dada Hafco has said that Ghanaians need a national reorientation.
Speaking in an interview on TV3’s New Day show, he noted that Ghanaians naturally gravitate to foreign culture just because of how they have been oriented.
According to him growing up if a child speaks twi in school, he or she gets beaten and made to speak English.
He said based on this Highlife singers were seen in the past as villages which made the youths find it difficult to venture into that genre.
He urged Ghanaians to claim highlife as the real originators by packaging it their context.
